Getting Lost at 50

Sometimes you just have to get LOST in order to

Have you ever felt that way?  That you just need to get lost in order to find your real purpose in life?  Or did you have the proverbial rug pulled out from under you and had no other way to do it, BUT to get lost and try again?

As frustrating as getting lost can be, it can also be a blessing.  Getting lost allows the perfectionist in us to get muddy, allows a bit of chaos and even disorganization which I’m sure can be off-putting to some people.  But to others, there’s a comfort in not having to be perfect, nor having to be in control and know exactly where we are going at all times.

Getting lost, when not panic induced, can bring out the childish wonderment in our lives and joy can be found in the simplest of moments!  It can actually help us to grow, to let go and to allow life to flow!

So the next time you are frustrated by being lost, take heart that going off the beaten path sometimes brings precious gifts that wouldn’t have been brought to you otherwise.

Have you ever gotten lost?  What did you learn?

I learned it was so much easier letting God or the Universe be in charge, since I wasn’t anyway. Thank you for the reminder, which I certainly need every now and then!
