Grace and Frankie

In my quest to keep busy, a friend recommended watching Grace and Frankie which you can find on Netflix.  Well, let me tell you, I’ve got a new addiction – one that gives me laughter and some poignant tears, but it’s way healthier than smoking!

As a divorced mom, at first, some of the actors’ lines and situations hit too close to home and I had to turn it off.  But then, I’d turn it back on and find some laughter and then find some tears.  But it was cathartic!  It’s a wonder I never heard of it before now!

So instead of smoking, I’ve been watching a quick 30 minute episode when I need a break.  And it’s been working.  I’m now on season 2 and I find that I really like each and every character.

For me, this is a two thumbs up (as opposed to no thumbs up) favored suggestion of what to watch when you’re looking for something with substance.  Sure, the premise of their divorce may not apply to your situation, but the feelings associated with divorce will resonate with you and if you’re (ahem) mid-life, it will as well.

Have you seen Grace and Frankie?  If you’re not a member of Netflix, you can get a free month like I did and binge watch!  Let me know what you think!

I’m glad you found something to take your mind off of smoking but for me personally, I can’t stand that traitor to our country Jane Fonda, so…
If it weren’t for her and that lunatic Martin Sheen (love his boys though) I might check it out. 😉
