What’s Not To Love About Fall?

I love Fall.  I love all of the seasons, but there’s something about Fall that ignites me.  Maybe it’s the new beginnings in being an empty nester.  Or maybe it’s the joy in the leaves turning those bejeweled deep colors.  Maybe it’s the cooler air that soothes my sometimes overheated aging body (lol – menopause).  Maybe it’s the fact that I’m finally adjusting to the freedom that I have never experienced before now.

The crisper air after that humid summer heat brings energy to me.  I really love watching the cool air breezes rustle the leaves.  I like to open the windows and breathe.  I need that rush of fresh autumn air in the house after the air conditioner kept us closed up all summer and before the winter chill requires the furnace to be on all the time.  I love wearing light hoodies and crunching on leaves while taking my walks.  I love that the dog walking people in my neighborhood seem to be out more frequently so there’s always someone nice to bump into when I’m getting the mail, taking the garbage out or puttering in the yard.

I love to crunch on apples with caramel.  Give me a nice fire with a toasty blanket and some smores and I’m in heaven in the fall.  How about you?  Do you like the Fall too?

I do like fall, but summer is my favorite. I’m going to miss wearing shorts, walking barefoot on the grass, and the pool.

I like the beginning of ALL the seasons. Because it is a change. It is something new. By the time I’m nearing the end of a season, I am usually beyond done with it and ready for the next one to come along. I don’t particularly have a favorite, but I adore open window weather, no matter the season, and will take advantage of any day where the weather allows it, often annoying the crap out of the rest of the family at times because I can tolerate the heat or the cold just a bitter better than the rest. Fall is one of my favorites for photography, though, just because of all the color.

Oh yes TJ! The colors of fall are spectacular! I can’t wait to see what you photograph this fall! I love to open windows too…something about fresh air in a house to change the stagnant air conditioned air brings life to a home! 🙂

I love Autumn too, mostly cos I know I’ve survived another Australian summer! Which means I can relax for at least another 4 months before it all starts to heat up again… Winter here in the tropics is Heaven On Earth 🙂 But Autumn and her colours are divine 🙂
